the F-stop was actually an issue - it wasn't stuck wide open, it was stuck fully closed. i jammed a piece of paper in there and just played with it to get an intermediate aperture. i found i could control the f-stop pretty easily that way. these shots were probably the equivalent of f-10 to f-20, flash on.
