This Piece of Tin-Foil Crap

So basically this observing run is almost a total washout. I'm now beginning to understand the angst and pain in Sean's face when he talks about this place...... For starters, we were going to be looking at deuterated molecules, only the reciever is busted. Ok, fine. Moving along. Only, the pointing is so far off, that you can't even keep a target aligned for more than half an hour so that any data you might collect is practically meaningless. We just looked at what other people had seen in some of the sources we were looking at, and basically everything Johnathan has done over the last few days, and all of what we're planning to do might be impossible......

To quote Johnathan - "if we can't get the pointing fixed early tomorrow, just drop it and get on the next plane home. On your way out, don't forget to set the building on fire. I'll send them a note." I've heard Sean say versions of this many times........
