A Lab Day
Today was a fun lab day. Joe, John, Untenberger, JD and I spent several hours tearing down and rebuilding an infra-red imager and guider using the coelostat. Senator Inouye is coming through to do a 'remote ribbon cutting' for the new mirror coating facility on the summit. He's a little old to go up to the summit so they've set up a remote viewing station here at Maikalani. There's a whole bunch of lab stuff going on. The AO demonstrator, Quad-polarization-interferrometer and some other lab gear is going to be shown in a big tour to some NSF people as well as the senator & staffers. Showtime!!
Tear down this...
