Permafrost Lake with Neutrals

This observing run has been interesting. Somewhat successful but with all the usual chaos, weather issues, and sleep deprivation. On an unfortunate, somewhat panic note, my camera not only had a plastic chunk with a mirror on it fall out of the main housing, but there's something rattling around in the lens now that sometimes stops the lens from zooming. So, camera and lens are now somewhat broken. Autofocus is dead and I can't seem to get a good focus manually either. Everything is fuzzy........

Anyways, the neutrals and I went up early to hike out to a permafrost-fed alpine lake that's a half mile from the road at the summit. We had to walk insanely slow back up the hill, but it was entirely worth it.

Felix trying out his shaka.
Nadine being Swiss for the camera.
Strange lake growths.
The trail.
