Sing Taxi's

singapore is muggy. damn muggy. and their airports taxi system is the most efficient thing i think i've ever seen. it's got 5 people running the show and a bunch of "waiting slots", a lot like pull throughs. they let 10 taxi's in to the open slots. the people are then hurried from the line thats inside the airport (think drill sergant "go! go! move it!) and everyone runs out to the taxi's and then taxi's pull away to the road on the other side of the through lane. the roads are now back to clear and the next pod of taxi's is whistled in. and they all have fancy uniforms too.....


oh yeah, aparently the language here is english, and i can read all the signs fine. but it's like the hawaiian creole on acid-meth. fast and twisted as all hell. "carpenter street" is more like "karptor strit". at least he confirmed that i should watch out for "pretty boys". that's asia for you......

the clouds here are crazy. the cloud deck is really high and there are always 3 layers of clouds. i want to say im in the middle of the "inter-tropical convergence zone" where the tropopause is highest and the clouds are almost always out..... we'll see
