Yaws-Might

you know, like veggiemite, promite, marmite, and all those other wonderful mite's. that lovely, super salty with a hint of assish nastyness that those left-side-driving countries love to spread over their toast, perhaps because it tastes so nasty that it wakes you up better than coffee. i love those left-hand-drivers but they have some weird breakfast habits.

anyways, i'm half an hour from leaving for maryland to do some DI stuff. i'll be stuck in the hotel working all week day & night so i should have plenty of time for distractions (like blogging and sorting through the few thousand pics i took)

yosemite was really sweet. i've been told that this time of year there's usually 8ft of snow on the valley floor. the place was empty and the weather was awesome. i feel bad for liz cause we were supposed to go there the day we arrived but, as usual, a monster storm system made the first week here grey and rainy. good for warm houses but bad for big mountains. jesse also had a bit of a change. he works a lot like me in that he has 'runs' where he gets 'data'. instead of using a telescope though, he uses a big xray beam ( at SLAC). well, just like with anything, the beam died and instead of having to do two weeks of 12 hour shifts doing experiments we went on a long roadtrip and he's leaving for an extra week of xmas this afternoon. stories from the mountains to come soon.

Hey Dude,
Good pics, I think that night pic of the valley was really sweet! I think a little clouds can really go along way. Also those long exposure day pics really turn out interestingly. Hope all is well.
