Biking, parties, and neutral-density

this weekend has been a whirlwind. i lost my wallet. biked up really big hills for 30 miles and hacked my lungs out. went to san fran for a 'party' and was up till the wee hours, and now liz is gone back to hawaii and it's time to get some sleep, and i'm not looking forward to sleeping alone..... :( no offense to jesse.

here's a shot (by someone else) of the 'evil-breaks' party. cool scene. i got to meet some of jesse's crew and see a few good burning-man tricks. www.burningman.com great spinners.

my dad and i stayed at the pidgeon point light house last year. liz and i were driving by on the way up the 1 and found it again. it was an awesome time last year with the 'old man'. he had guiness and i had bailies. as usual. i've been playing with filters and trying to smear out water on rocks. since dad and i spent a while sitting at this spot, i thought i would send a shout out to him, somewhere in the deep dark & cold of michigan.

liz had a very thoughtful day after the party. lots of staring into space, and thinking about what she wants for dinner. i've never met somebody so totally focused on dinner from 11am on....

more water on rocks. this whole photography thing is pretty fun. for those interested, i did an ad-hoc filtering with two crossed polarizers. i was very happy that i figured out how to do that. especially since filters online were ~$100!!

also, there's come cool stuff on www.polarization.com.
check out the bees. they have a dance floor where they do the honey-boogie and show each other how to navigate by the polarization of skylight. crazy.

hey cutie. I never realized how silly and small my face looks in that hat =)! Now I like it even more.
So it's 830am and yes, I'm the only one at work...

The contemplation of dinner is a very rewarding meditation. I cannot stress the destressing that occurs with this I'm with Liz
