Flooded Arches

We drove through Moab to Arches ntnl park - the torrential downpour continued with tons of lightning and heavy rain. Arches was closed due to flooding everywhere, and the vis-center was full of old people. It was really fun to see this giant mudflow river coming down near the visitors center. We decided to stay in a motel in Moab since the whole desert is soaked right now. Crap timing I guess. Dammit Liz! We did hit up a rock & mineral shop. It's been my recent weakness. I think Moab is a great place - the mormons have controll of most of the state, but the gentiles have a foothold here. It feels relatively normal with bikers and organic food stores all over the place. No scarry temples anywhere. Brian still freaks out and runs away from shadows sometimes, but he's just scared that he's in Utah.
