Mangusteene??
A weird new fruit..... One of the DI guys from India showed us how to crack open this strange new fruit.
It looks a little strange - hardish and dark purple.
Crack it open and it's a cross between a tangerine and garlic.
Hmm......
Argh.... nasty seeds!
It was actually really tasty. Very sweet. Kind of like kiwi in a not-so-potent sort of way.....

I love mangosteins! They are so fantastic. I tried them first in Cairns. Just fabulous!

it's tasty!! they're really neat. white like a custard apple but tasting just mildly sweet....
