Halo

Some very regular high cirrus rolled in and made the 22-degree halo around the sun. The atmospheric optics webpage is quite good at explaining these. Basically, the ice crystals are falling and are aligned by the "wind" as they fall, making a regular structure that can do interesting things like this......
