Missing the park

Liz and I are going to be moving back into town in about a month. Pearl city has been a trip. It's this strange mix of ghetto just down the ridge and nice houses just up. We're in the middle. It's a lot like the microclimates here. Every block you walk up is 5 inches of rain per year more, and about 10K per house more. This place has traffic from hell between 7am and 7pm, but it's dead quiet after 9. The only thing you hear at night is those $100 honda civic's with $1000 mufflers and people drilling your locks and putting your car up on blocks. I think the only thing I'll miss here is the park. It's got one of the best views. In some sense that's what this place is to a lot of people. Crowded, trashed, and poor but with a hell of a view.
