Stellar Theory
I know it might sound lame, but this weekend was very educational. I went to a Saturday "flight school" with Billy down at the airfield, had a business meeting with a "potential investor" and then rounded out the weekend with some stellar-atmospheres radiative transfer simulations. All in a good weekends work.... Though I felt pretty lame when I found myself pissed at IDL on Saturday night when I probably should have been enjoying the north shore.
Little H-alpha profiles from indiviual surface elements at various latitudes 7 lontgitudes.

A rotationally-broadened, limb-darkened, quasi-2D stellar atmosphere produces this model H-alpha line....
