My First Visitor
My first official company in my apartment was two cane spiders. One ran outside quickly and the other was quite happy to pose for the camera no more than 6" from his face. Or maybe the flash just dazed the guy so badly that it couldn't move.....

i am really not afraid of spiders but i must admit, they don't look overly cuddly
i'd probably move if i saw some of those fellas sneaking around my place.
Think I'd prefer red backs. Least they are smaller!
Dude, that is seriously something from a horror picture. It's like 3ft across right? (Seriously whats the scale on those pics?) Also, wtf is that 3d graph of?
There was a cane spider (maybe 3-4" across)in the McCully apt. one night and I about lost my shit.. they don't bite though and are known to pretty much just eat the cockroaches so I tried to be ok with it. but when it got on the ceiling and started coming towards the bed it was all over. We caught it in a colander and threw it outside.
this one was actually fairly small, maybe only 3" across if it fully stretched out.... and remarkably docile. i had the lens at closest focus, 0.8ft with the lens right in the spiders face and it didn't flinch. i had to poke it to shuffle it out the door. the bigger one at mccully damn-near charged liz. and while hanging upside-down on the ceiling too. inverted charge. hardcore.
they do eat roaches like it's nobody's business...
that's it I am never living in Hawaii it looks like the spider from Lord of the Rings
